Sheridan Smith has been rushed to the hospital. The Packet of Crisps English actress was at a spa retreat when she just collapsed and the staff there realized that she was seriously ill. On Sunday following the incident, the thirty-four-year-old was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital by ambulance. Also, it was earlier this year because of a bout with “stress and exhaustion” she had no choice to withdraw from the West End show Funny Girl. She is now reportedly recovering and taking at least two to three weeks off..
It followed what the theatre called a “very difficult” period for the actress, which has seen her engage in public spats with critics, press and fans on the social media site Twitter.
A source told The Sun
: “Sheridan has been at Champneys to undergo total rest while she’s been recuperating during her time off from Funny Girl.
“She has been in a better place and things have been looking up, but on Sunday there was a medical emergency and ambulances were called.
“But she is doing much better and it has nothing to do with stress or her state of mind.”
A South East Coast Ambulance spokesman said: “We were called just before 5.20pm on Sunday following reports of a woman in need of medical attention.
“A car from South Central Ambulance Service was sent, along with an ambulance which we assisted with.
“She was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to hospital as a priority.” She was later released and was said to have made a full recovery.
Also, it has been a rough time for the actress, her father was diagnosed with cancer and sadly her brother was just eighteen when he died from cancer.
