English fashion model, actress and singer Agyness Deyn has landed herself her first major role for the big screen adaptation of popular novel Sunset Song. The catwalk star had small roles in Clash of the Titans and Pusher.
But now she has got herself the lead, Chris Guthrie,in a big screen take of writer Lewis Grassic Gibbon‘s tale of social hardship in 1930s Scotland. Director will be filmaker Terrence Davies.
Deyn tells Vogue,
“When I read the script I fell completely in love with the character and the story, I’m so honoured and excited to be working with Terence, he’s such an incredible director.

American television drama series’ Breaking Bad’ will featured Jessie Plemons from Friday Lights for a major role. the show is produced by Vince Gilligan.
It had been set and produced in Alburquergue, New Mexico. Plemons has been cast in the fifth and also the final season of the show. He will play a major recurring role as a dependable, working-class man who may not be what he appears, reports TV Line.
In July on AMC Breaking Bad will return for its concluding season which will then be broken into two parts which will consisting of eight episodes. The show will pick up where it left off,
“We’re cleaning up the pieces from last season’s huge ordeal where Gus Fring was forced to meet his maker,” Cranston explained. “It’s not as easy as Walter thought.

Starsky & Hutch’ actor Paul Michael Glaser has been Arrested For Marijuana Possession. The American actor and director was taken into custody last Friday on suspicion of drug possession, this according to report.
The sixty nine year old had been in Bowling Green, Kentucky when police had been sent to his Hilton Garden Inn hotel room as there were complaints form guests who allegedly smelled marijuana.

Pirate themed series ‘Crossbones’ has been picked up by NBC which has been created by Neil Cross. It has been official executive Robert Greenblatt has announced the plans at their upfronts presentation for May 14, 2012.
The series is an adaptation of Colin Woodard‘s book The Republic of Pirates, which is about pirates in the year 1715 on the Bahamian island of New Providence, following the adventures of Blackbeard.
Husband and wife duo Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald will be producing the project, which will contain ten episodes. Expected premiere date will be in March 2013. Photo Credit, www.nbc.com.
