Country Singer Craig Morgan Dealing With Loss Of Son Jerry Greer From Inner-Tube Accident..

resizedimageJerry Greer has died, this is such news to absorb, listening to the heartbreaking news that Country singer Craig Morgan and his wife Karen’s son Jerry’s body has been found by search crews, following a fall from an innertube in Kentucky Lake on the Tennessee River, July 11, 2016. The tragic accident occurred on July 10, 2016, he was just nineteen years old.

WSMV-TV in Nashville broke the news Monday night (July 11), relying on a statement from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. The news station states that the young man’s family aided in the search effort. Morgan is a an EMT, sheriff’s deputy and former Army Ranger. The driver of the boat pulling Greer and another 19-year-old also joined the search on Monday, redirecting a rescue effort that included multiple agencies.Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis spoke to media Monday afternoon, clarifying that Greer was being pulled behind a boat in a tube and was indeed wearing a life jacket. The tube hit a wave, causing the recent Dickson High School graduate to fall from it. He didn’t speculate as to why the life preserver didn’t cause him to float to the surface.

Following the terrible news, a statement had been issued by the singer’s publicist saying the young boy’s family gave thanks for all the support while asking for privacy during a difficult time.

Greer played the sports, football, and soccer and along with his dad, he enjoyed hunting.

Sadly left behind to mourn are his parents, sister Aly Beaird and brother-in-law Ryan Beaird, brother Kyle Greer and fiancée Chelsea Rogers and brother Wyatt Greer.
