‘Playboy Founder’ ‘Hugh Hefner’ Named Humanitarian of the Year!

American magazine publisher, founder of Playboy, Hugh Hefner was just yesterday named ‘Humanitarian of the Year’ by the organization Angelwish.  He had been honored during a party at the Playboy Mansion, preceding the 54th Grammy Awards had ended.

Heffner, himself put on his Twitter that Pamela Anderson herself presented him with the award, this happened during a ceremony which had been hosted by Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs.

He also tweeted after the presentation that Jenny McCarthy had been,

“here to lend her support”, and declared: “It was a grand evening.”

Angelwish is an organization which grants wishes to children with chronic illnesses.

Charity founder Shimmy Mehta said:

“We are especially excited that we will get to honor Mr. Hefner with our ‘Humanitarian of the Year’ award for all his charitable efforts over the years

Katy Perry walked the red carpet wearing a Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, at the 2012 Grammy Awards on Feb. 12, 2012. Perry, is an American singer, songwriter and actress bron in Santa Barbara.

 Perry grew up listening to gospel music, she had did some singing in her local church.  She is known for her songs such as ”I Kissed a Girl” and “Hot n Cold” and she was the voice of Smurfette from the Smurf movie.

Julianne Hough walked the red carpet wearing a Kaufmanfranco gown at the 2012 Grammy Awards on Feb. 12. Hough, is an American professional ballroom dancer, country music singer and actress who is highly known for being on Dancing with the Stars.

She released a holiday album, Sounds of the Season: The Julianne Hough Holiday Collection, and she also starred in the film remake of Footloose.

‘Beach Boys’ After Twenty Years Reuniting At The Grammy Awards!

American rock band, The Beach Boys are going to perform at the Grammys, the band which was performed back in 1961. The originally beach boys are brothers Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine.

The surviving members of the band will reunite once again for the first time in twenty years, for the Grammy Awards. The legends will begin their celebrations for their fifty years as a band at the event when, Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David marks do take to the stage.

The group will sing a melody of their hits, and also joining them will be Maroon 5 and Foster the People. They will also make a new album this year.

Speaking of the group getting back together, Brian said:

“This anniversary is special to me because I miss the boys and it will be a thrill for me to make a new record and be on stage with them again.”

Al Jardine added:

 ”From our humble beginnings as brothers, cousins and friends, we have been honored to sing the praises of California, and I’m really excited for our fans to be able to see us again in concert on the world stage.”

The Grammy Awards do take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles this Sunday, February 12, 2012.

‘Carrie Underwood, Tony Bennet’ To Perfrom Together, Grammy Awards!

American country singer, songwriter and actress Carrie Underwood and Tony Bennet and American singer of music such as show tunes, and jazz, will be performing as a duet on the Grammy Awards on Sunday February 12, 2012 on CBS.

 The two recorded

 ”It Had to Be You” on Bennett’s 2011 album, Tony Bennett: Duets II.
