Bruce Willis Talks New Die Hard Prequel ‘A Good Ideal’

Bruce Willis backs a Die Hard prequel saying ‘It’s a very good idea’. The star of the popular franchise Willis, who was an off-duty New York City Police Department officer John McClane also said he feels excitement for the making of the sixth movie, which is set to be an origin story. He is backing the idea considering the last ones had been very financially successful. It has also reportedly been hinted that the title would be ‘Die Hard: Year One’,

an origin story and even hinted that the plot will see the story flick between the past and the present.

Bruce revealed:

”I’m very happy about it because it’s the origin story. It happens at the beginning and we’re going to bounce back and forth.”

The 60-year-old actor starred as troubled detective John McLane in all five ‘Die Hard’ films and is expected to reprise his role once again, although the sixth film will be set in New York City in 1979.

However, Bruce will play a present-day version of McClane and he denied having any knowledge of who will play his earlier self.

He told ET Online: ”We’re not there yet. Hopefully, he’s got a hard head”.

Willis was also seen in, Armageddon, The Sixth Sense and more.

Alan Rickman Injured During First Died Hard!

resizedimageAlan Rickman has been injured while filming his very first movie. The well known English actor from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (Sherriff of Nottingham) almost put a halt to his first time Hollywood appearance due to a stunt incident. He was on film for the movie Die Hard,

The Harry Potter star was filming his very first scene in Die Hard, which required him to crawl on a ledge and jump to the floor, and ended up in the emergency room after a mishap.

He says,

“We got the scene and in one of the takes I heard (breaking noise) and I said, ‘Uh oh, we’re in trouble.’

“Fast forward to the hospital… and they said, ‘You’ve either torn a ligament or a cartilage. If you’ve torn a ligament you’re out of action for six months and we won’t know about the cartilage ’til tomorrow… What we need to do is put a leg brace on your knee and you can’t put any weight on your knee for the rest of the month.’

One scene to go even though injured, he tried hard to improvise as he was not aloud by producers to use crutches.

He continues,

“I said to them, with kind of a tact of survival instinct, ‘Listen I still have a scene to shoot, could you pull my trousers over the leg brace…?’

“I’m going up in the elevator, I’m on crutches because they told me not to put any weight on the leg, and there’s a producer standing there and he says, ‘Could we lose the crutches for the next scene?’ The next scene is where he pretends to be an American and fools Bruce Willis, so if you ever watch that film again… I’m playing that scene standing on one leg.”
