Claire Danes relies on her husband’s for advice. She is a television and stage star, she has been in My So Called Life (Angela Chase) and Les Miserables (Cosette) explains that her husband Hugh Dancy‘s British attitude toward problems has kept her away from therapy.
The thirty four actress more measured response to emotional problems has counter-acted her desire to share and dissect problems as an American.
Danes and Dancy do have a nine month old son Cyrus together, saying maybe be the best advise yet is to get more sleep. Speaking in the new UK issue of Vogue magazine, she said:
”That British reserve is so welcome. I come from the land of therapy and love it, therapy is great, but Hugh really helped me discover that, a lot of the time, I’m just tired.
”I don’t have to go through this labyrinthine explanation, there doesn’t have to be that much back story. I can just be in need of a nap.”
She is a new mother and she stars on Homeland, for this she needs the right amount of sleep. She also says her love her little one is quite strong,
Claire – who plays bipolar CIA agent Carrie Mathison in the drama series – explained
”My real anxiety was that I would never want to work again. Because it’s so intoxicating, the bond is just so … viscous. It’s like superglue. One of the overarching themes of the show is loneliness and sacrifice. Carrie’s isolation is being really, really stretched to its outer limits. She’s very stranded in this season. And I am feeling very bonded right now. So there’s a real dichotomy there.”

Danes met actor Hugh Dancy on the set of Evening in Newport, Rhode Island, and they began dating. They announced their engagement in February 2009. The couple married in France in late August or early September 2009, in a ceremony not announced publicly. The two have a son, Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy, born on December 17, 2012.
Danes who is now thirty three years old had previously admitted that she was keen to become a mum, saying,
”There’s definitely a chance (of falling pregnant), (but there are) no plans yet. But yeah, that’d be fun.”
She and Dancy who is now thirty seven did marry in France back in 2009.

In the issue Claire talks researching her role as Carrie on Showtime’s Homeland:
“I burrowed into a lot of literature. I like nerding out and getting a chance to delve into something I otherwise wouldn’t learn about. I’m not particularly political. But I’m more aware of how many people fight so hard and risk so much. That’s a big deal, and it’s easy to forget or not think about at all.”
She talks the cast of Homeland:
“I adore everybody I work with,” Danes says. “But it’s very intense; we’re not whistling while we work.” Mandy Patinkin, who has been described as difficult to work with on past projects, is “just dreamy,” she says. “I’m in constant awe of what he can do. And if I’m nervous about a scene or I think it’s particularly tricky, I just trust that he’ll see me through. He’s a very strong partner.”
She also talks filming Homeland in Charlotte, North Carolina:
“It’s beautiful, and the people are almost unnervingly friendly. They have a kind of graciousness that I really appreciate.” And there is, she adds, “a great fried chicken joint” three blocks from home. “There’s a lot to be said for the Southern way.”
Homeland returns with new episodes in September on Showtime.
