‘Parachute Club’ star Billy Bryans has lost his battle with Cancer. (September 15, 1949 — April 23, 2012) was a Canadian percussionist, songwriter, music producer and D.J. known as one of the founders. He was born in Montreal but spent most of his life in Toronto.
A tribute concert for Bryans was staged in Toronto last week ends April 20, 2012.

American magnate, investor Warren Buffet is diagnosed with cancer. The Billionaire businessman has in fact have prostate cancer. The eighty one year old has insisted that his condition is not “life-threatening” and in a letter to shareholders at investment group Berkshire Hathaway Inc. that he will be getting two months of treatment soon.
In the letter, obtained by the Associated Press, he writes,
“I feel great… and my energy level is 100 per cent. I discovered the cancer because my Psa level recently jumped beyond its normal elevation and a biopsy seemed warranted.”
Buffet is one of the world’s richest men and a leading philanthropist.

The Band’ lead and backing vocalist Levon Helm is in ‘Final Stages’ Of Cancer Battle. His fans are asked to pray for him as he is fighting for his life “final stages” of his cancer battle. According to a post on his website, Helm is close to death.
The note reads,
”Levon is in the final stages of his battle with cancer. Please send your prayers and love to him as he makes his way through this part of his journey.
“Thank you fans and music lovers who have made his life so filled with joy and celebration… He has loved nothing more than to play, to fill the room up with music, lay down the back beat, and make the people dance! He did it every time he took the stage.”
A former band member Robbie Robertson has sent “love and prayers” to him.

British Australian musician Peter Andre’s brother has been hospitalized on Friday of apparent blood clot on his lungs. For this matter he had spent the weekend by his brother Andrew’s beside.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper:
”Pete has plenty of space at his house and wanted Andrew to come over so he could help nurse him back to health.
”But on Friday – just a day after he arrived – he started to suffer severe pain and things went downhill quite quickly. Pete has been in A&E with his brother all weekend and things are looking quite serious.
”Pete just wants him home so he can look after him. He is devastated and everyone is just hoping Andrew pulls through.”

American actor, filmmaker, screenwriter, film director and occasional painter Sylvester Stallone’s half sister is fighting to battle advanced lung cancer. The “Rocky’ and also ‘Rambo’ star Stallone has in fact been at the bedside of her following the bad news, this according to a report.
The Hollywood star’s half sibling Toni Ann D’Alto who is fifty one years old is indeed in the advance stages this disease and is resting over at their mother Jackie’s Beverly Hills home, reports Britain’s Sunday Express.
Speaking of the pair, Jackie says,
“She has been the little angel he’s tried to guide through life.”
This is not the first time Stallone had to go through a cancer tragedy it was just in July 2011 when his father Frank had passed away of the disease.

‘Desperate Housewives’ actor James Denton(Mike Delfino) has filmed a public service announcement (PSA) it had been for a cancer charity to honor his own mother who did pass away from the disease.
The American film and television actor does head ‘Stand Up To Cancer and Cancer Treatment Centers of America’s new awareness campaign, which gives better questions and better care to focus on patient empowerment following their diagnosis.
It was back in 2022 when Denton’s mother Mary did indeed loose her life to beast cancer, this is when the star felt like he had to give much support to the organizations’ initiative.
He says,
“When my mother was diagnosed with cancer, one of the hardest challenges she faced was the overwhelming questions that came with that life-altering event.”
“Her courage is what inspired me to partner with Stand Up To Cancer and Cancer Treatment Centers of America to remind patients and their care givers through this PSA that knowledge really is power.”

British-Australian musician, Peter Andre is devastated to hear that that his brother’s stomach cancer has indeed spread to other parts of his body.
The ‘Behind Closed Doors’ singer who is now fifty four years old sibling Andrew had been diagnosed with stomach cancer and now after further tests it has been said that the situation is much more serious than first thought.
Peter said:
”Sadly, we’ve not had a great week and Andrew’s test results weren’t good at all. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread and it’s the outcome we were all dreading.
”We’re trying very hard to stay positive but it’s really knocked us all for six and, if I’m honest, I’m not dealing with it very well. I don’t mind admitting that there have been quite a few tears on my part. When someone in my family suffers, we all suffer. That’s how we deal with things.
”But you’ve just got to pick yourself up and focus on a plan of action. It doesn’t matter how I feel, I just care about how Andrew feels.
”While he’s recovering from his operation, the rest of us are trying to work out the best thing to do and how to make him most comfortable.”
Despite the sad news, Peter is not making plans to return to Australia with his family but he says the diagnosis has brought him even closer to his four brothers and one sister.
He added in his column for new! magazine:
”I’m not flying back to Australia just yet as I’m waiting to see what’s happening, but we’re all in touch constantly and this has brought my family even closer than we were before.
”We are all dealing with it in different ways but I’m definitely the most open with my emotions. My siblings are my best friends and it’s really, really hard to see one of them go through something so awful. You hear about people living with cancer all the time and you always feel sympathetic, but when it’s your own flesh and blood, it hits you really hard.

English character actor and occasional presenter, Timothy Spall had fallen to his knees and prayed to God as he was told the horrible news that he had cancer.
During the time that The Harry Potter actor had been filming commercial is when he was told he had acute leukemia and ordered to head to the hospital for an emergency treatment.
The stunned star had taken to his knees and begged for divine intervention – and his prayers were seemingly answered when aggressive chemotherapy put the disease in remission.
Spall tells This Morning,
“I said (to the doctor), ‘Tell me what’s going on. What’s happening?’ He said, ‘Well old boy, I’m sorry to tell you, you have got leukemia’. I said, ‘I’ll phone you back’.
“I fell on my knees and I prayed to God – ‘Please don’t let this be it’. And I phoned him back and said, ‘Can I have a drink?’ and he said, ‘No, your brain might explode!’”
Spall, who was given the all-clear in the year 2002, also does tell that he and his wife Shane were determined to keep all the details of his health battle a secret from fans.
He adds,
“We kept each other’s pain from each other. I knew she was in hell, and she knew I was in hell, but we never said we were in hell. I just got on with it… I never, ever wanted to be known for anything other than being an actor… I just wanted to keep it quiet so we could get through it on our own.”

He said:
“As a family we have always felt so blessed to have avoided cancer – it’s the one word that has never entered our family – so when Andrew was diagnosed it was terrifying. My parents are in an awful state. It’s a huge operation.”
He was enjoying a relaxing holiday in Marbella before having to fly halfway round the world for the family emergency.
“It’s been the hardest two weeks of my life,” he told us.
