Sharon Stone Wished Guys Would Throw Themselves At Her.Not Run Away

Sharon Stone wants guys to throw themselves at her. She is an actress and former fashion model, and this is what she would like from men instead of them running away because the fifty-seven-year-old believes most men are too intimidated to make a move.

The erotic thriller Basic Instinct actress was known as one of the most desirable Hollywood women when she also starred in her other erotic thrillers ‘Sliver’, but to her opinion her,
reputation as a confident and sexy woman has actually harmed her love life.

Revealing her dating woes to BANG Showbiz during a Q&A in Berlin, Germany,

to promote Galderma’s Restylane cosmetic treatments, she said: “I wish more guys would throw themselves at me. But not really. I think people believe the story that I’m sexy, and now people are afraid of me. I think people so buy into whatever you tell them that they bought the myth,

they bought the story. I think in reality I’m much more like the girl with the big clothes and the bag of books but people bought the story that I’m a sex symbol. So guys don’t throw themselves at me, they run away from me.”

Although Sharon,

who uses Restylane filler injections to combat wrinkles – is still considered one of the movie industry’s biggest sex symbols, the blonde star claims there was a time when directors refused to cast her in racy roles because they didn’t think she could smolder on screen and draw in male audiences.

It was a naked shoot for Playboy in 1990 to coincide with the release of sci-fi thriller ‘Total Recall’ – in which she appeared opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger – that changed the perception of her as an actress and led to her most famous film ‘Basic Instinct’, in which she stripped off and repeatedly romped with leading man Michael Douglas.

Sharon explained:

“It’s funny because for the first part of my career I couldn’t get a job because no one thought I was sexy. People would call Chuck, my manager, and say, ‘We can’t hire her because she’s not sexy,’ because I always went around dressed like a bag lady. I wore all of these big, black clothes and these big glasses and all my books and stuff and people would be like, ‘She’s so not sexy.’ Then finally this woman, the photo editor for Playboy, I told her, ‘No one thinks I’m sexy. This is so stupid.’ And she was like, ‘Hef (Hugh Hefner) wants to put you in the magazine.’ I’m like, ‘In Playboy?!’ (Laughs). That seemed to me like the most absurd thing I had ever heard, and then I realised, I’m going to starve to death, I can’t pay my house payments, I don’t know what to do, I can’t get a job, this is ridiculous, maybe I should be in Playboy. OK, so I made a career with her and him, that I would do these black and white pictures where I wouldn’t be naked on the bottom but I’d be naked on the top, and she would write the story, because she was my friend. And she was brilliant. I thought, ‘I’ll tell people I’m sexy,’ and that’s what I did. I told people I was sexy, and then I got ‘Basic Instinct’ and now people think I’m sexy.”

Stone has been single since 2004 when she finalized her divorce to her second husband Phil Bronstein. More on Stone she has adopted sons Roan, Laird and Quinn.

Alexander McQueen Made Previous Suicide Attempts Before His Death

Alexander McQueen made some previous suicide attempts. Well, this is according to his older sister Janet, she is claiming that the British fashion designer and couturier known for his work as chief designer at Givenchy did make a number attempts in taking his own life.

The late fashion designer’s sibling has claimed that a number of people close to Alexander knew of his previous suicide attempts before he ultimately killed himself in February 2010, but his family were kept in the dark about his state of mind and she feels as though those individuals let him down.

In an interview with The Times newspaper, she said:

”People knew his state of mind and his family didn’t … other people did know. They knew about the other suicide attempts. We didn’t. We knew he took cocaine, but when we approached him he’d say, ‘You don’t understand. There’s such pressure. I need to relax.”’

Janet insists she and the rest of the family, including his other two sisters, would have done everything they could to help Alexander if they knew how unhappy he was at the time of his death.

She said:

”If we’d known the extent of it, we would have been bashing down doors, but we didn’t. We all spoke to (Alexander) about the drugs, but he was a man in his late thirties. It didn’t matter what we said.”

The East London native was just forty years old at the time of his death, as he committed suicide just one day before his mother Joyce’s funeral and nine days after she had died from cancer at the age of seventy-five, such as sad story.

Janet claims she and the rest of Alexander’s family are not allowed any input into the Alexander McQueen brand, but she appreciates the efforts of Sarah Burton – the label’s creative director – to keep them involved.

She said:

”We’re not included at all. In fact, I think I’m enemy number one with all of them … but throughout all this, the one person that wanted to keep us on board was Sarah.”

Sam Smith’s Underwent Successful Vocal Cord Microsurgery

Sam Smith‘s surgery was a success. Smith is an English singer and he rose to fame when he was featured on Disclosure’s breakthrough single “Latch” had a hemorrhaged vocal cords operation. Just last month he had no choice but put a halt to his Australian shows and putting his recording album on hold, well now the expectation is that he will make a full recovery. He had the surgery done on Thursday, May 14, 205 in Boston.

In a statement, Massachusetts General Hospital, which treated the British star, said:

“Sam Smith underwent vocal cord microsurgery by Steven Zeitels, MD, to stop recurrent vocal cord hemorrhage (bleeding). This condition is the result of unstable blood vessels in the vocal cord that can rupture and prevent vocal performance.

“Sam came to Boston to consult and undergo corrective voice surgery with Zeitels, the director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Voice Centre. Zeitels, who is also the Eugene B. Casey Professor of Laryngeal Surgery at Harvard Medical School, has pioneered many vocal cord surgery procedures for benign and malignant problems including the use of specialized lasers to stop vocal cord bleeding in singers. He has performed this unique procedure for many vocalists – including Steven Tyler, Lionel Richie, and Adele – allowing them to return to full performance. Similarly, Zeitels expects Sam to make a full recovery from his laser microsurgery.”

The twenty-three-year-old, who just celebrated a birthday explained to his fans that he would not be able to speak for three weeks following the procedure.

In a post on Instagram, he wrote:

“Enjoying my last day of speaking. After today no speaking for three weeks. So if you see me on the streets sorry if you think I’m a d***head and can’t say hello. Also gonna be silent for my birthday. Sounds fun aye? (sic)”
