Pirate Themed Series ‘Crossbones’ Picked Up By NBC!
Pirate themed series ‘Crossbones’ has been picked up by NBC which has been created by Neil Cross. It has been official executive Robert Greenblatt has announced the plans at their upfronts presentation for May 14, 2012.
The series is an adaptation of Colin Woodard‘s book The Republic of Pirates, which is about pirates in the year 1715 on the Bahamian island of New Providence, following the adventures of Blackbeard.
Husband and wife duo Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald will be producing the project, which will contain ten episodes. Expected premiere date will be in March 2013. Photo Credit, www.nbc.com.

‘Country Musical Drama’ Nashville Gets The Go Ahead By ABC!
ABC is making room for a new country music themed show called ‘Nashville’ which will star Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton. The show evolves around a fading singer who has to work with an up-and-coming star.

‘Csi: Miami’ Crime Drama Canceled After Ten Years!
American crime drama television series Csi, Crime Scene Investigation has been canceled. The show did premiere back in the year 2000. She show was created by Anthony E. Zuiker and also produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Filming took place at Universal Studios in Universal City, California.
After ten years of the long running show which stars David Caruso as Detective Horatio Caine has seen it’s final days. A statement from the network reads,

‘Reba’ McEntire’s New Comdey Series ‘Malibu Country’ Picked Up By ABC!
American country music artist and actress Reba McEntire’s new comedy series called ‘Malibu Country’ has officially been picked up by ABC. It had been back in February when the network was going to accept the pilot but it had been just this week when they gave the green light for it to come on board.
“Congrats to everyone associated with “Malibu Country! We got picked up,” Reba tweeted after hearing the good news. “We’re going to have so much fun! Can’t wait to get to work!”
The very talented star will star along with Lily Tomlin, Sara Rue, Julietta Angelo, Justin Prentice, Jai Rodriguez, and Owen Teague.
“Malibu Country” tells the story of a divorced mom of three who moves from Nashville to Malibu in order to reignite her singing career despite the “materialistic and rarified Malibu world she now calls home.”
Reba, her husband Narvel Blackstock, Pam Williams, Dave Stewart, Mindy Schultheis, and Michael Hanel will all executive produce. As of now, no official premiere date has been set. Photo Credit, inquistr.com.

American television sitcom ‘Two and a Half Men has been renewed by CBS. It premiered back in September 2003. At that time the show starred Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones.

American political thriller television series ‘Scandal’ has been renewed for the second season, which stars Kerry Washington. The series debut on April 5, 2012.
Scandal, a D.C.-based political drama in which Washington stars as a high-level problem solver, is based on the real-life experiences of PR guru and crisis management consultant Judy Smith.

‘Medical drama’ Private Practice Renewed For Sixth Season!
American medical drama television program Private Practice has been renewed by ABC. This sitcom is a spin off from Grey’s Anatomy. The series stars Kate Walsh and it was created by Shondra Rhimes.
On May 11, 2012, Private Practice was renewed for a sixth season and it will move from its 10/9c slot on Thursdays to Tuesdays. No word yet on how many episodes have been ordered for the sixth season.

Sitcom ‘Happy Endings’ Gets Renewed For Third Season By ABC!
American television series ‘Happy Endings’ has been renewed for a third season for the ABC network. On May 11, 2012 the show would be back with twenty two more episodes.
The sitcom follows the lives of six close friends living in Chicago, starring Elisha Cuthbert, Casey Wilson, Damon Wayans Jr, Eliza Coupe, Zachary Knighton and Adam Pally.
E4 started airing the series in the UK in September 2011.
