Romanthony, Daft Punk’s ‘One More Time’Dies At 46!

Romanthony (Anthony Moore) has died. the American disc jockey, producer and singer best known for his work with French duo Draft Punk (One More Time) dead at forty six years old on May 7, 2013 at his home in Austin. Back in 2013 he had released the song ‘2Nite4U along with Kris Menace. Romanthony also dabbled in house, R & B and Hip Hop. The cause of the DJ’s death is yet to be confirmed.

According to posts on his sister’s Mellony Moore’s Facebook page she wrote  earlier this month:

‘Thank you for your calls and prayers my brother was a musical genius.’

In an earlier post, she had written:

‘My baby brother Romanthony AKA Anthony Moore passed away 7 May 2013 at his home in Austin TX.

‘Our family is shocked with grief. A memorial service is being planned for a future date.’

Sadness: The DJ community paid tribute to the singer on Twitter Although he died nearly two weeks ago, it has taken time for the news to reach his dance music contemporaries.

Leading the tributes on Sunday was American house DJ Roger Sanchez, who tweeted:

 ’What is going on? I just heard that Romanthony died – 4 those who don’t know he was the voice of Daft Punk’s One More Time – sad.

‘We’re losing legends this year.’

British DJ Pete Tong added on his Twitter page:

‘Sad news RIP Romanthony.’ DJ Cassius tweeted: ‘Romanthony…So sad.’

Alan O’Day Dead ‘Undercover Angel’ Singer Sadly Dies At 72!

Alan O’Day has died, Friday. May 17, 2013, the ‘Undercover Angel’ singer was just seventy two when he lost his fight with Cancer, his label has announced the news. The American singer-songwriter.

“Alan was a generous man who gave his heart and soul to the music industry,” a statement from 1st Phase Records read, noting that he had continued to write and perform “until his last days.” When he passed, at his home in Westwood, Calif., he was surrounded by family and friends.

O’Day first gained fame as a songwriter in the early 1970s, penning hits including Cher‘s,

 ”Train of Thought,” the Righteous Brothers’ “Rock and Roll Heaven,” and Helen Reddy’s “Angel Baby.” He also co-wrote dozens of tunes for the Muppet Babies cartoons. In 1977, he rose to the top of the charts with his own single, “Undercover Angel.”

Grammy-winning songwriter Diane Warren mourned O’Day‘s loss on Twitter, using his own lyrics to give voice to her grief.

“If there’s a Rock n Roll Heaven, well U know they got one hell of a band,” she wrote. “The band just got better, my friend. RIP.”

O’Day leaves behind his wife, Yuka.

Dr.Joyce Brothers,85, Famous Advice Columnist Dies!

Dr.Joyce Brothers has died at the age of eight five. She is a well known American Psychologist, television personality and columnist. She had written a daily newspaper and advice column from the years 1960 to 2013. She passed away on Monday, May 13,2013 in New York City from natural causes, this is according to her long-time publicist Sanford Brokaw.

She first gained her fame when she had been a winning contestant on the game show, the $64,000 Question in 1955, becoming the only woman ever to win the top prize. Then in 1958 she landed her own advice programme, the Dr. Joyce Brothers Show. She also made a few cameo appearances on the popular television shows including Charlie’s Angels, Happy Days and Frasier.

“She also wrote a monthly column in America’s Good Housekeeping magazine for almost four decades, and a syndicated newspaper column that she began writing in the 1970s, which at its height was printed in more than 300 newspapers.

She published several best-selling books, including the 1982 book, What Every Woman Should Know About Men, and the 1992 book, Widowed, inspired by the loss of her husband, Milton Brothers, who lost his battle with cancer in 1989″.

Legendary Actress Jeanne Cooper Has Died!

Jeanne Cooper has died. The Young and the Restless (Katherine Chancellor) actress had played the part for forty years, she has passed away at the age of eighty four. Her son, actor Corbin Bernsen, made the announcement on his Face-book page and on Twitter.

“My mother passed away this morning just a short time ago, peaceful with my sister by her side, in her sleep,”Bernsen wrote.

 She had also starred in the Soap Opera The Bold and the Beautiful for two episodes and she started her career in the Western The Redhead from Wyoming. Soon following she went on to act in Tales of Wells Fargo, Perry Mason, The Big Valley and Ironside.

Cooper was married to TV producer Harry Bernsen, Jr. for twenty three years before divorcing. They had three children, all of whom are actors: Corbin Bernsen, Collin Bernsen and Caren Bernsen.

St.Elmo’s Fire Actor Mario Machado Dies At 78!

Mario Machado has died. The star, who had been the first Chinese-American television and radio broadcaster was seventy eight years old. He had also acted in St.Elmo’s Fire and Oh, God! passed away on May 4, 2013.

His daughter Michelle had told the Los Angeles Times that her father lost his life to complications of pneumonia at a convalescent facility in West Hills, California. He had also been suffering from Parkinson’s disease for some time now. His birthplace was on April, 1935 in Shanghai, China.

Brides For Seven Brothers’ 1940′s Star Veronica Gibson Dies At Eighty Eight!

Veronica Gibson has died at the age of eighty eight. The Seven Brides For Seven Brothers passed away on April 25, 2013 in Pennsylvania, this is according to a new report. Back in the 1940‘s she did make her start on Broadway, she was well liked.

You may also remember her for her role in Happy Hunting, Tea for Two, Goodbye, My Fancy and Funny Face. She had also been a Co-host of the documentary series Discovery for ABC News and a regular on The Johnny Carson show.
