Anton Yelchin‘s parents are taking legal action. Sadly on June 19, 2016, Twenty-seven-year-old Star Trek reboot series (Pavel Chekov) died, which had been called a ‘freak accident’, he was found by his own friends in the morning early and was pronounced dead the next day, he had been pinned between his 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a brick pillar. Supposedly, when exiting his Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was on s steep incline, it rolled backward crushing him against a security gate.
Well, now his parents, Irina Korina and Viktor Yelchin, who were figure skaters are preparing to take legal action against Fiat Chrysler, ZF North America and car retailer chain AutoNation over the actor’s death. Tmz, says that now a lawyer for the family will be seeking to get punitive damages “for the wrongful death of their son due to significant defects” in the vehicle. Their action comes weeks after a class action lawsuit was filed by owners of similar cars, who claimed they had been betrayed and suffered financial loss in the wake of Anton’s death.
Also, just following the death of the Smurf’s actor, his parents took out an advertisement in the Hollywood Reporter, thanking his fans for all their well wishes. They said:
“Thank you, to all of you who have sent flowers and gifts, for your condolences and kind words. We are deeply grateful for your unconditional love. He would be surprised at how many hearts and souls he touched.”
More on Yelchin, he once played in a punk band named the Hammerheads, he had a love of playing the guitar and he was a fan of acoustic blues music. His cause of death was identified as “blunt traumatic asphyxia” by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
