Shannen Doherty is putting blame on Jason Priestley’s car crash for his memoir memory lapses. Doherty has been one of my favorite actress’s from her days s Brenda Walsh in Beverly Hills, 90210 nd it seems as if she is responding back to one of her former cast mates, Priestly because of comments he had of her in his 2014 memoir. What she is saying is that events which occurred behind the cameras may not be quite exactly like he says and maybe altered because of his 2002 car accident. Priestley decided to go public of his thoughts and feelings about Doherty as he has talked about her wild girl antics. But Doherty doesn’t recall things that way and she thinks he is facing struggles separating fact from fiction.
In a Sirius XM radio interview with Jenny Hutt, she maintains much of what Priestley wrote is false, adding, “I love Jason, but you know he had a car accident, a racing accident, and I think maybe parts of his memory got altered from that. “Everybody changes. They have their own perception of the truth. His is definitely different than mine.” The car crash Doherty is referring to took place in 2002 during the Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series at Kentucky Speedway, and left Priestley with a fractured spine and a serious head injury. In his memoir, the actor revealed all about Doherty’s bad behaviour, recalling a flight he took with the actress and writing,
“I could not believe my ears at Shannen’s very first words after she boarded. Her butt had barely hit her seat before she said loudly to the PR person, ‘Really? A town car? You send a town car to take me to the airport, not a limo?’ She sighed a very put-upon sigh. I laughed, as I couldn’t really tell if Shannen was kidding or not. “That was just the beginning. I looked on, becoming more uneasy by the minute as she began b**ching about the short notice and the food on board and the temperature in the cabin and everything else.” Addressing the drama in her interview, which aired on Friday evening (16Jan15), Doherty fired back,
“Supposedly I wanted a limo, and I’ve always hated limos my entire life. I find them embarrassing and grotesque. I mean, there are things that would in no way happen. I didn’t even go on that jet at that point in time.” She claims Priestley mistook her for “somebody else maybe from the show”.
