Patsy Garrett has died. She was ninety three years old and she started off her career as a radio performer at the age of seven as for seven years she was on Fred Waring’s “Pleasure Time” radio show. She was the “chow-chow-chow” lady on the Cat Chow commercials of the 1970s and played alongside the legendary singer Elvis Presley in the movie The Trouble With Girls. Following a brief illness she passed away on January 8 2014, a family friend Richard Sackley has announced.
She was also seen in Nanny and the Professor, Room 222 and Benji dog movies.
Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey in 1921, she was the daughter of vaudevillians who had an act called Mason & Gwynne. Garrett was preceded in death by husband Alexander Kokinacis, he was a composer who wrote under the name Nick Alexander.
She leaves behind, her son Jeff, daughter Kathy, stepson Nicholas and grandchildren Chrissy, Peter, Andrea, Alexis, Nicholas, Jocelyn and Alicia. Her late husband was composer Nick Alexander.
