Kool & the Gang’s Longtime Trombonist Has Died

Clifford Adams has died. He was a trombonist with the music band Kool & the Gang, he was sixty two years old and from Trenton, New Jersey. It had been in his pre-teens when he showed some strong appreciation for classical Jazz, and at the age of twelve he was in his Junior High School choir, As he put his heart and soul in the trombone, involving was a true voice of self-expression for a gifted and young musician finding his way. The cause of Adams’s death was liver cancer, this is according to reports.

Charitable band Jazz Bridge had helped to raise money for Adams’s medical treatment in his final months because he did not have health insurance.

During the band’s fifty one year of music, Adam’s performed with them regularly at various times. There most known hits were ‘Celebration’ ‘Ladies’ Night’ and ‘Too Hot’.

To this day Kool & the Gang still perform together.
