David Attenborough Dealing With His Jurassic Park Star Brother’s Death Difficult

David Attenborough is feeling the struggles of his brother’s death, finding it difficult to cope. He is and English broadcaster and naturalist and his brother, Richard Attenborough was a Jurassic Park star, He is best known for writing and presenting the nine Life series, in conjunction with the BBC Natural History Unit. His brother died on August 14, 2014 but he is thinking he will never be able to get over the loss of his older sibling, he was ninety years old at time of his death.

and his sibling reveals the actor was a “shadow of his former self” prior to his death after failing to recover from a fall at his home in 2008.

Attenborough tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror,

“l last saw him a week or so before he died. He couldn’t talk, he couldn’t walk. Of course he was a shadow of his former self. He’d damaged his brain. All people who’ve sustained those kinds of injuries… of course they change. He was a very dear brother and he is missed.” Attenborough is still grieving his brother’s death and fears he may never be able to come to terms with his loss, adding, “You don’t get over these things… You accommodate them, you deal with them, but you don’t get over them.”

Richard Attenborough was born in 1923, he also appeared in in Brighton Rock, The Great Escape, 10 Rillington Place and Miracle on 34th Street.

He and Sheila Sim were married from 1945 until his death.

Their daughter and one of their grandchildren were killed in the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
