Robbie Coltrane has been hospitalized. The sixty four year old Scottish actor, comedian and author, best known for his Harry Potter & James Bond roles was on a flight Thursday from London to Orlando when he got sick, he then had t taken to the hospital.
“Robbie was taken ill on the flight and taken to hospital to rest and recuperate and was kept in overnight,” said Coltrane’s rep to E! News.
Apparently there was some claims that the Potter star was drinking heavily at the London airport before boarding the plane and may have been a factor in his illness.
Robbie’s rep continued,
“I do however dispute the claims that he was drinking in a London lounge. He was flying down from Glasgow to Gatwick [Airport] to get a connecting flight to Orlando. His journey was delayed by bad weather conditions in Glasgow where he lives and he was being rushed from one terminal to another to get the flight which departed at 11:45. He was certainly not drinking in a lounge.”
More about Coltrane, he is also a comedian and author and he also starred in the British TV series Cracker he is the son of a teacher and pianist, and a general practitioner who also served as a forensic police surgeon.
