Bruce Willis is set to make his Broadway debut. He is one of my favorite stars as I watched him as John McClane in the Die Hard series and other movies such as Armageddon Unbreakable and more well now he is heading off o Broadway in the adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘Misery’.
One of Stephen King’s most acclaimed novels is headed to Broadway.
Misery, which was adapted for the big screen and won Kathy Bates an Oscar for her performance as Annie Wilkes, will make its way to the stage this fall for a limited engagement.
Willis will portray the romance novelist Paul Sheldon,
who is rescued and eventually tortured by his “number one fan,” Wilkes (House of Cards’ Elizabeth Marvel). Enraged by the fate of the fictional character, Misery Chastain, Wilkes has no intention of letting Sheldon go anywhere.
Also about Willis he is currently Co stars in the season three of Netflix’s hit series, House of Cards.
The play was adapted for the stage by William Goldman, the Oscar-winning screenwriter behind All the President’s Men and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures has yet to announce a Broadway house or debut date.
