Shia LaBeouf is abiding by a plea deal. The former Disney star from the Even Stevens series reportedly will abide by the deal that had been reached with Manhattan prosecutors following his drunken meltdown back in June. The Holes actor did yesterday appear in a Manhattan Criminal Court yesterday, he needed to give proof that he had in fact been attending an alcohol treatment class which is because of his
bizarre conduct at a performance of the musical Cabaret, when he shouted obscenities, smoked cigarettes and slapped one of the actors on the backside. However, following his appearance in court, attorney Robert Gage praised his client’s recent transformation, saying: ”Shia has done a terrific job of complying with the program. And we appreciate the court’s recognition of it.”
Under the terms of his plea agreement, Shia, 28, will see the charges against him dismissed provided he is not rearrested.
LaBeouf is from Los Angeles, California, the child of a dancer and ballerina turned visual artist and clothing jewelry designer (mother) and his father is a Vietnam War veteran.
