Jamie Oliver says ‘I could have been a hobbit!’. He is an English celebrity chef, restauranteur and he didn’t have a choice but to turn down the role as (Richard Goldschmdt) in Peter Jackson’s Hobbit. For the director’s fiftieth birthday he was making a meal that’s when he had offered him the part. The thirty nine year old chef would have loved to accept doing it however because of prior commitments he wasn’t able to.
He actually disappointed that he couldn’t wear the outfit to his thirty eight year old wife Jools. During channel Four series of Friday Night Feast with his friend thirty nine year old Jimmy Doherty he revealed his story
He first asked guest and Almost Famous actress Kate Hudson, 35, about different roles she had missed out on.
He then told how he lost out on being a Hobbit.
“I was working, I just couldn’t get out of it”
“The worst thing that happened to me was that I got phoned up by the exec producer and asked did I want to go and cook for Peter Jackson’s birthday, the big birthday.
“And if I did, they would fly me over and I could be a Hobbit in the film.
“But I was working, I just couldn’t get out of it.
“I really wanted to do it and would have got right into it – I would have taken the costume home and said: ‘Jools, let’s make love!”
