‘Hello Dolly’ Dora Bryan, 91 Funeral Filled With Laughter

Dora Bryan has been laid to rest. She was an English actress of stage, film and television and her funeral service took place in Brighton, England on Wednesday, August 23, 2014. When the service which was at St George’s Church in Kemp Town, seen to say their goodbyes were hundreds of mourners who loved and will miss the ninety one year old, who was the star of Carry On movies.

The highlight of the service came when her son, Daniel Lawton, delivered a touching eulogy, during which he called him late mum “a wonderful woman”.

Actor Christopher Biggins called his late friend “as mad as a snake” but added, “It’s not often you get in our business a star who’s so nice and is a true star. She really loved people and they really loved her.”

In the church you could hear the sound of own performance of Hello, Dolly! as they carried her coffin thorough. It was s tune that she wrote for her late husband was played during the service.
