Gerard Butler set to star in Den of Thieves. The Scottish actor, who is a trained lawyer decided to go into acting in the 1990‘s acting in many movies such as The Ugly Truth, P.S. i Love You. Olympus is Fallen and now this one. The forty four year old will portray the part of a ”legendary bank heist crew decides to rob the Federal Reserve in Los Angeles right under the nose of a rogue sheriff’s deputy”, this is reported by Variety.com.
The film will be helmed by Christian Gudegast, who also Co-wrote the script alongside Paul Scheuring.
Mark Canton, Ryan Kavanaugh, Tucker Tooley and Alan Siegel are producing, with Chris Bender, JC Spink and Butler executive producing.
Butler recently stepped back from Point Break, he was supposed to fill the shoes of the late Patrick Swayze’s shoes in a reboot of the classic 1991 surfer heist film. But it has been stated he may have done so over scheduling conflict.
He will be next in the movie, ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2′ where he lent his voice to the character of Stoick the Vast.
