Chris Martin likes to be open and vulnerable. The frontman for Coldplay plans to be when it comes to his music. The British vocalist at the end of March shared the news that he and actress Gwyneth Paltrow split up following ten years of marriage says that his new album which is called ‘Ghost Stories’ is songs about his personal life finding it therapeutic to sing about ”real” things. The thirty seven year old rock had explained to the crowd at the band’s iHeartRadio album release party in Burbank, California on Friday night, May 16, 2014,
”We made the decision about 15 years ago that being open and vulnerable would be the thing that we would do.
”That means that what we sometimes lose in poeticism, we gain just by truth.”
”That’s something that means something to me, but I never want to say what it’s about because it might mean something to someone else. Hopefully, whatever we’re singing is real.”
Martin has denied that he is dating anyone at this time, and his breakup with Paltrow had been announced through her lifestyle website Goop, when she famously claimed they were ”consciously uncoupling”. The couple still reside together for their children, Apple, nine, and Moses, eight.
