‘Allo ‘Allo! Jeremy Lloyd, 84 Has Died

Jeremy Lloyd has died. She was an English writer, screenwriter, author, poet and actor. The eighty four year old was best known as Co-author and writer of several successful British sitcoms, which includes Are You Being Served? and ‘Allo ‘Allo!, has passed away on Monday evening in a hospital because of pneumonia.

“Jeremy was a great wit and always a mass of original ideas. He had a wonderfully original mind and will be greatly missed.”

Lloyd, had been married three times which includes actress Joanna Lumley, and he created a string of hit shows with his writing partner David Croft. His film debut was in School For Scoundrels, he also had minor roles in the Beatles films Help! and A Hard Day’s Night, as well as classics such as Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines. Also during his writing years, he was with Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In.
