Misty Upham reportedly died of head injuries. The former Frozen River actress reportedly passed away from injuries to her head and torso, this is what officials are saying. According to the King County medical examiner in Washington, the thirty two year old star lost her life on October 5, 2014, they stated that it was a blunt-force injuries.
The circumstances surrounding her death are still unknown.
Upham, who recently starred in “August: Osage County,” was reported missing in October and discovered by a search party in a ravine in Auburn, Wash., less than a week later.
On Sunday, October 5, 2014, Upham left her sister’s apartment on the Muckleshoot Reservation in Auburn, Washington on foot. The following weekend, her family announced via Facebook and other media that she had not been heard from since that time, and that they were concerned for her welfare, citing past mental health problems.
Reportedly police say they don’t suspect foul play and her family believe that it was an accident and not suicide.
The actress had been suffering from mental issues and had changed her medication when she moved from California to Washington to help care for her ailing father prior to her death.
