Travis Barker Pulls Out Of Blink-182′s Australian Tour!

Travis Barker announced on Tuesday, February 19th that he was going to find a substitute drummer for their Australia tour due to his fear of flying.

Gossip Center reports: In 2008, the musician was in a plane crash that killed four passengers and left himself and DJ AM in critical condition with multiple burns.

Letting his fans know of the change via Facebook, the 37-year-old wrote, “I’m sorry to announce I won’t be joining Blink-182 on this Australian tour. I still haven’t gotten over the horrific events that took place the last time I flew when my plane crashed and 4 people were killed, two being my best friends.”

The band has decided to continue with the planned tour with Brooks Wackerman filling in on percussion for the group.

A statement on their Facebook page read, “The band knew the chances of Travis overcoming his fear of flying, which was magnified after the horrible plane crash in 2008, would be a challenge, but we wanted to play for our fans in Australia nonetheless.”

They continued, “The three of us tried all measures to get us all there in full form. Travis has been working to overcome his fear of flying. Since we now know we have to make the trip without Travis our friend Brooks Wackerman has stepped in. We love our fans in Australia so canceling was not an option so we still plan to come and play some kick a**
