Sharleen Spiteri has been admitted in the hospital. The Scottish recording artist and songwriter best known as the lead singer of the rock band Texas. Spiteri had endured some injuries when the incident happened on the set of latest music video. The forty five year old ‘Melody’ vocalist had taken a slip while she had been running a corner and fell on her face, the Daily Record reports.
At this time the band is doing filming a video as Spiteri is running through Paris streets, for a comeback single ‘The Conversation’, where Spiteri, She had suffered a concussion and injuries to her face and was kept under observation. She however did miss the rest of the shoot and is recovering from the fall.
An insider said:
“It was all quite dramatic and when she fell everyone’s hearts were in their mouths.
“Of course everything on the video just stopped for the day, but thankfully she made a complete recovery and is absolutely fine now.
“It couldn’t have happened at a worse time for her as she and the band are right in the middle of promotional work for the new single, but all that matters is that she is okay.”
Upon release the shoot had been rescheduled and new dates have been arranged for the music video to be filmed in London.
“I got into a bit of trouble during the shoot, but everything’s fine now,” Spiteri commented.
‘The Conversation’ is officially released on May 13, with an album of the same name following a week later.
