Dan McCafferty collapses while on stage. The lead singer for the Scottish hard rock band Nazareth band had to cease a Canada show on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 following the frontman falling down only seconds into the first number.
They just opened their set at the Cranbrook Curling Centre in British Columbia, when the incident did occur. McCafferty had to be assisted off stage and given medical attention. The show had to be axed.
Concert promoter Isaac Hockley reveals that the sixty six year old had been suffering problems with his lungs and he couldn’t get enough air. telling the local publication Cranbrook Daily Townsman the star is now in a “stable” condition.
At this time it is unclear if the show will proceed and there has been no update about MCCafferty‘s condition on the band’s official website.
