Randy Travis suffers a stroke while he was in the hospital. The American country music singer and actor. The fifty four year old vocalist’s health had taken a turn for the worse on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Now this will be his second procedure that he did go through this week.
A statement from his representative reads,
”As a complication of his congestive heart failure, Mr. Randy Travis has suffered a stroke and is currently undergoing surgery to relieve pressure on his brain. He is in critical condition. We will have updates as they become available. His family and friends here with him at the hospital request your prayers and support.”
Travis was admitted to a medical centre in MCKinney, Texas, on Sunday, July 7, 2013 with congestive heart failure and a,
”presumptive cardiomyopathy”, a heart condition he developed after battling a viral respiratory illness three weeks ago.
He had underwent surgery to place a special pump fitted in his chest to help improve his blood flow and was then transferred to another hospital. He had the stroke just hours following being treated by doctors, as news went around saying that he was showing,
”signs of improvement”.
