Caro Emerald had no choice but to postpone her March shows in the UK. The pregnant Dutch Jazz singer pushed back shows will be replaced by October dates. However is not bad news, the reason she is postponing the gigs is that she is going to be welcoming her first child, the BBC reports.
She has gained much success in the UK with her music after her second album sold out.
“The Shocking Miss Emerald, entered the UK and Dutch charts at number 1 in May. She made her extremely successful debut in 2010, with the jazz-influenced Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor. At the time, the phenomenally successful debut sold 1.3 million copies in Europe”.
Caro’s style is influenced, both musically and visually, by films and music from the 40s and 50s. March tickets will be good for the October dates, and shows will run from October 9, 2013 at the Brighton Centre until 24 October in Glasgow.
