Keira Knightley was a ‘charming bride’ The English actress who became popular for her role in Pirates of the Caribbean and Bend It Like Beckham was mentioned by her former head-teacher, who had overseen her marriage to James Righton during a secret ceremony on May, 4, 2013 as a ‘Charming Bride’.
Just last year the couple became engaged and they just had a low key ceremony in Provence yesterday. The local mayor who did conduct the wedding spoke very hight of the celebrities. Aime Navello said their vows had been done in French, Knightley and Righton saying ”oui” instead of ”I do”.
He told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: ‘
‘Keira was a charming bride, very modest and simple in her attitude, as was James.
”I got the impression that it was a very moving experience for both of them … We had a translator as I read out the marriage act in French … as we posed the question in both French and English, they both replied with a ‘oui’ and a ‘yes’.” Aime did also say the stars special day was to be stay quiet and also said: ”The first I heard of the marriage was a couple of days ago when someone in my town hall who knew Keira took a message which asked for complete secrecy.
”I kept my word and didn’t even inform any of my 27 town councillors. Normally I know most of the couples I marry. Many of them are children I used to teach, but I haven’t heard of Keira, nor for that matter James.”
