Jessica Alba hates the gym. The ‘Into the Blue’ star prefers not to work at, she enjoys her time dancing and running to keep herself in shape. The mother of two has admitted that she hates the gym and likes the ideal of dancing instead of loud music. The thirty one year old actress has told the March issue of Women’s Health magazine: ‘
‘I like doing dance classes. That’s fun. Like hip hop class, mixed with like core Pilates-type exercises.
”And sometimes I do sprint intervals just because I hate working out. Anything where I have to do something but I can get my mind off of doing it, that’s so much better for me than anything that’s repetitive. Or the music has to be loud and I have to be moving.
”So when I’m at home and I’m working out and I don’t have a partner with me, I like to put bad television on. Usually a pretty embarrassing reality TV show and I do sprint intervals. So I’ll sprint for a minute and walk for 30 seconds and do that on and off for 20-30 minutes usually.”
The star has two daughters, four year old Honor and eighteen month old Haven with her husband Cash Warren has also said having children has made her less critical of herself.
”Becoming a mom has definitely made me feel more confident and secure than I ever did in my 20s. Even though I can’t ever get down to my pre-baby weight before having Honor, my jeans don’t zip up the same way, and things just hang differently (all moms know how that goes!), I feel completely comfortable in my skin and my idea of perfection has changed.
”I don’t really care about my body image anymore because it just doesn’t matter now that I have children. Instead, I focus on my health, feeling strong, and making sure I’m up and running so I can spend that all-important time with the girls.”
