She channels old Hollywood glamour wearing loose curls darkened brows and bold crimson lips. she wears an ethereal white gown with a clinched waist and a jewel-encrusted bust, a fringed Flapper-style number with a plunging neckline and a lacy black slip with delicate sheer sleeves.
She spoke about filming The Great Gatsby. The actress, who plays the role of Myrtle Wilson, told the magazine of the experience,
’It was thrilling and terrifying. Given the caliber of the director and cast on Gatsby, I definitely felt out of my comfort zone. I did feel like I was going to be called out and sent home at some point—you always feel very insecure, at least I do.’
‘The set was like a playground of rich costumes (his wife Catherine Martin does them) and color and music and laughter.
‘Everybody cares on a Baz Luhrmann film set because everyone is so effing grateful to be there.’
Isla discussed acting to focus on raising the girls, explaining,
’I took three years off. It’s not like you’re taking a break and looking on IMDbPro to see your StarMeter falling. You’re doing the most important, incredible thing.
‘When you come back in, the perspective has changed. I truly believe you can’t have it all and you shouldn’t want to,’ she added.
