Eric Clapton has cancelled Vienna concerts due to back injuries.The English singer-songwriter and known for his work with the Yardbirds and Cream has backed out of last night’s (June, 6, 2013) and today’s debut in Germany at the last minute.
The legendary guitarist caused himself some strain to his back pulling out of the show at the city’s Wiener Stadthalle venue and he is also unable to perform today at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyerhalle in Stuttgart, Germany.
It had been on Monday night when he started mentioning that he had some bad pains, today it has been confirmed by doctors that he has an acute spinal disk herniation.
A spokesperson said:
”Unfortunately it really happened from yesterday to today. Eric Clapton had been particularly looking forward to today’s concert.”
”Eric deeply regrets that today’s concert cannot take place.”
At this time specialities are figuring out which treatment he needs. Show organisers are now looking at alternative dates. Tickets are still valid for any new date set, otherwise they can be returned and refunded. There are set dates that are scheduled for his European itinerary, but at this time it is not known if his sickness with affect anything.
