Elisabeth Hasselbeck preparing to leave her desk on The View and is going over to the couch on Fox and Friends. The well known television talk show host and television personality and best known as a finalist on Survivor The Australian Outback.
The news network said Tuesday that Hasselbeck, who has been on Barbara Walters’ syndicated daytime show for a decade, will join co-anchors Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade on Fox’s morning show in September. She will replace Gretchen Carlson, who will get a new daytime show at Fox.
Hasselbeck’s departure was widely rumoured this spring, hotly denied at the time by Walters. Hasselbeck was a conservative voice among the ladies on The View, often leaving her outnumbered.
The View will now to replace both Hasselbeck and Joy Behar, with Walters’ retirement coming sometime next spring.
