Loretta Lynn’s Ranch has been hit with fire. The very popular country star was lucky that First responders had been able to contain the fire. However though a concession stand at the popular Hurricane Mills tourist attraction had been leveled.
A storage building and eating area were also damaged. At this time the incident is under investigation, however Humphreys County officials believe the flames were sparked by a faulty power strip.
At this time it is not known if the Coal Miner’s Daughter singer was at home, but a message on her official Twitter.com account reads,
“Thank you everyone for your concern. There was a small isolated fire within our cook shack this evening. Everyone is alright.”
The 6,000 acre ranch was closed for the winter, reopening next week for March 1, 2013. The singer’s property has been damaged once before- Lynn’s house was lashed by a powerful storm that swept through the state last month (Jan13). Afterwards she tweeted,
“The whole ranch looks like a war-zone.”
