Casey Kasem, eighty one years old is nearing death. The radio and voice actor, who was born in 1932 is ailing and this is according to his wife. It has been stated that the Top 40 and voice character of Shaggy from Scooby Doo in the Saturday morning cartoon is battling Parkinson’s disease and early onset of dementia and his wife reports that he only has months left.
Kasem’s second wife Jean broke the news in court papers on Friday, October 18,2013. in response to lawsuit which had been filed against the couple by a former housekeeper and caregiver, Hilda Loza. She allegedly that she had been mistreated by employed by them.
Jean did not attend Friday‘s hearing, but in documents lodged by her lawyer, she claimed,
“My husband is terminally ill and unable to leave home.”
She went on to request a continuance for a few months to allow,
“the situation to resolve or end, unfortunately”, suggesting Kasem is close to death. However the judge threw the claim, Jean is also in another court battle with Kasem’s adult children, it is over his medical care.
Kasem‘s adult kids, Kerri, Julie and Mike, are seeking a conservatorship amid allegations their stepmother has banned them from visiting their dad as his health deteriorates. Just last week, ending October 18, 2013 a judge in Los Angles refused issuing an emergency.
