Danniella Westbrook hailed a heroine for helping a man who collapsed in the street. The English actress who had appeared in the Soap Opera the East Enders had been out dining with friends in London’s West End’s district when she seen the drama unfold right before her eyes on January 25, 2013.
Westbrook had put the fifty one year old man in the recovery position, cleared his airways and kept him warm until paramedic arrived.
She tells the Daily Mirror newspaper,
“It’s flattering if people are calling me a hero but I don’t want to make too much of a fuss.
“I was just doing my bit and would help anyone else in the same situation. It all happened so quickly and was scary but I tried to keep my cool until the arrival of the emergency services who were brilliant.”
She is married with two children, and released her autobiography, The Other Side of Nowhere, in 2006.
