Stephen Collins divorced last year. Now the 7th heaven star’s ex is demanding more money saying she has been left desitute. Faye Grant has mentioned in recent court papers that her twenty seven year marriage left her this way because she passed on her own acting career to raise their children.
Collins still makes good money. Just in 2013 he earned four hundred thousand dollars for his role in the television series Revolution, sixty four thousand nine hundred and thirty seven thousand for Devious Maids, seven thousand six hundred and eighty two dollars for Scandal and five thousand and five hundred dollars for The Fosters.
Grant had appeared in ABC’s V and played Tattie McKee in State of Grace. The sixty six year old did file a divorce from his fifty six year old wife claiming that her upper class lifestyle has been put in jeopardy since their divorce was filed.
At the time the couple were in a relationship, Collins was earning an estimate of one million to three million dollars a year. Grant is now asking Collins for half of his six million bank account and also spousal support and half of the value from two Brentwood, California properties.
When the divorce was first announced their did not seem to be any animosity among the couple. Stephen Collins told E! News that he and wife Faye were,
“moving forward separately in our lives… She has been my dearest friend and a loving mother.” He further added, “I know that we’ll go through this process in a way that honors our family.” Grant told the publication, “Stephen’s filing for divorce is a surprise. I am devastated. I wish him the very best in whatever path he chooses to take. Twenty-seven years of marriage in Hollywood is the equivalent of 189 dog years. I was exhausted.”
Stephen Collins has not yet chose to comment on the new court filing.
