‘Walk the Line’ star Joaguin Phoenix had feared that his career was over following Mockumentary. He actually thought his career was blown with his documentary I’m Still Here as script offers just disappeared in wake of the bizarre project.
He had fooled fans and critics in 2008 when he ‘quit’ Hollywood to launch a rap career, later admitting that he had been just a prank. However he was so convincing in his new ‘role’ that the movie offers dried up following the highly-publicized project.
He tells British magazine Live,
”There was definitely a period after I’m Still Here when there was a discernible difference in the quality of movies I was being offered…
“There was a moment in which, frankly, I was placed in a very dangerous place with my mortgage. I didn’t know what to do. I was nervous because I didn’t know what was going to happen. My accountant was very nervous.”
