British/Irish style icon, Daphne Guinness has been ordered to pay damages. The heir to Arthur Guinness will have to pay substantial amount to her them following flooding of their apartment for three different times.
What a New York judge had ruled on is that the fashion designer is in deed responsible for the flooding Karim and Tina Samii‘s £7 million dollar apartment which just happens to be located below her own property in the former Stanhope Hotel in Manhattan as he allegedly allowed her water from baths to just overflow.
The style icon told the New York Post:
”All I have ever wanted is to make amends and make this right. I’ve always been happy to pay for their damage, and have already been doing so. I would never intentionally flood their apartment. I by no means want to be a bad neighbor. I have totally waterproofed the place and now it is the safest apartment in New York.”
Also the neighbors did lose a bid as they did try to get her to never to have a bath on her own property again. What they were saying is that flooding had happened due to her new stainless-steel bathroom floor had worsened the leaks.
In a future hearing, it will be determined on how much the former model owes the couple.
