American R & B and Neo Soul musician Maxwell (Gerald Maxwell Rivera) cancels his summer tour due to vocal strain. Well is seems as if some bad news is going around for fans holding tickets this very highly anticipated six-concert summer tour, it has been axed. What has happened is that the singer had to cancel as he has developed vocal swelling and hemorrhaging according to, RollingStone.com.
“I know this sucks but after many months of recording, I’ve temporarily damaged my voice,” Maxwell says in the statement. “I’ve had issues before during other tours but was able to power through.”
Right now there are many disappointed fans, despite the bad news he does however plan to return to stage this ear. Maxwell also revealed in the statement that he plans to hit the road when his new album, blackSUMMERS’night, is released in late 2012.
Refunds will be given to all those who purchased tickets.
