‘Sesame Street’ Director Has Died, She Was Seventy One! (Watch Video)

Emily Squires has died, she was seventy one. The American television producer and also director of Sesame Street cause of death is still unknown. Squires also wrote for daytime television soap operas including Guiding Light, Secret Storm, Search for Tomorrow, and As the World Turns.

This according to multiple sources, she had passed away on November 21, 2012 at New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital. She was married to Len Belzer, who has not released a statement as of it, however Sesame Street fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Squire’s death.

“The person who gave me my childhood has passed away :( Emily Squires RIP,” one user wrote.

“The longevity of Sesame St makes is possible to observe each others lives to their conclusion. I mourn the death of my friend Emily Squires,” Sesame Street’s Sonia Manzano tweeted.
