Peter Andre had to postpone his tour as his cancer-stricken brother Andrew sis take a turn for the worse. The Australian musician, known for his hit singles Mysterious Girl and Flava sibling health is declining.
The singer, who attended the Clothes Show Live in Birmingham earlier on Friday, has rushed to be with his older brother in a London hospital. Fifty four year, Andrew has been fighting kidney cancer for most of the year, he is at this time doing chemotherapy.
Peter, who is thirty nine years old had been due to perform his latest gig on his Up Close And Personal UK Tour at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on Friday night.
A statement from his management company on Twitter read:
‘It is with great regret that Peter Andre has postponed his remaining December 2012 tour dates, starting from Liverpool tomorrow, Sat Dec 8th.
‘His brother Andrew’s health has taken a turn for the worse and Peter has made the decision to be with him and his family at this time.
‘Fortunately it’s been possible to reschedule the 5 remaining 2012 dates on the tour. See http://peterandre.com for details.’
Earlier this week, Peter wrote in his magazine column about how his brother was feeling about his treatment. He told New! magazine:
‘One positive thing is that my brother Andrew has been feeling good at the moment.
‘He’s still having chemotherapy but, as usual, he’s being so strong.
Andrew was diagnosed with cancer back in February of this year and within weeks had flown to the UK from his home in Australia so he could be with his family while endures treatment.
Andrew and his wife Magda have been living with Peter and his two children Junior and Princess at the singer’s Sussex home, since the spring.
