‘Partridge Family’ David Cassidy, Plans To Do, ‘Monkees’ Davy Jones Tribute Show!

Former teen idol David Cassidy (Partridge Family), is said to be planning to transform his upcoming show  he was to co-headline with his friend Davy Jones now into a tribute to The Monkees star, who died on Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Jones passed away after he suffered a heart attack at his  ranch in Florida, Cassidy claims.

“the world seems a little less light”.

He says,

“I have a concert coming up that Davy and I were supposed to do in Miami next month. I’m going to do it, and do a tribute to Davy Jones… I’ll miss him.”

The star tells Entertainment Tonight,

”I loved the guy. He became my friend later and I admired his talent, respected him a lot for enduring the kind of backlash to having that kind of fame. He was a deeply caring guy.”

Cassidy tells the news show he had heard that Jones had apparently “been having problems breathing” in the days leading up to his death.
