Nicolas Cage has paid around six thousand dollars towards his tax debt.The American actor, producer and director still though even has more to pay. The Con Air and National Treasure star is on his road to a slow process of reducing the thirteen million dollars which he owes in back taxes, from the years between 2004 and 2009 this is what TMZ has reported.
The well known star had filed a lawsuit against Sam Levin, who happens to be a former business manager back in 2009, claims were going around saying that he had led him “down a path of financial ruin.”.
Some of his expensive have been two hundred and sixty thousand dollar on a dinosaur skull, just to get his hands on the unique prehistoric artifact, a jet, two yachts, three castles, two islands in the Bahamas and several mansions. The forty eight year old is at this moment filming the superhero comedy ‘Kick-Ass 2′ had to already sell off his massive comic book collection.
The star confessed in 2010:
“Over the course of my career I have paid at least $70 million in taxes. Unfortunately, due to a recent legal situation, another approximate $14 million is owed to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), however, I am under new business management and am happy to say that I am current for 2009.
“All taxes will be paid including any to be determined state taxes.”
