”I popped the Big Q,” says Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
He had chosen such an unusual way to announce his engagement, he ha broken out the news in a video on Tie the Knot.org, a foundation he’s launching.
As he tries to talk about the organization, created with his “boyfriend,” “fella” and “partner” Justin Mikita, he realizes that the best word to describe him is “my fiance.” Enter Mikita.
“It’s true,” says Ferguson.
“I said yes!” says Mikita.
The pair are sitting on a couch and revealed that they will marry, but do say that they are,
“like many Americans who are denied the civil rights to marry the one they love.”
The pair have a new line of bow ties that they will be selling, with all the proceeds going to an organizations fighting for the rights of gays and lesbians, he says.
The ties will be available in November.
