Canadian pop R & B singer-songwriter and actor Justin Bieber is said to be entangled in Royalties Battle. Apparently what has happened is that he has indeed found himself right in the middle of this incident over his hit song One Less Lonely Girl“.
Artist managers Vance Tate and Thomas Oliveria, who represent the tracks songwriter Sean Hamilton and Hyuk Shin, have taken legal action against their clients and executives at EMI Music Publishing and the LA Reid Music Publishing Company.
There are court papers which have been filed last week which the managers are claiming have yet to receive their part of the publishing profits, ten per cent of Hamilton and Shin’s share of the track, which they estimate to be worth two hundred thousand dollars.
The songwriting duo, working under the moniker A-Rex, created the tune in 2008 and it was eventually picked up by Bieber’s team. The final version is credited to Hamilton, Shin, the teens mentor Usher and two other songwriter.
Tate and Oliveria are suing for breach of contract, fraud, conversion and copyright infringement, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
