American actress and singer, Gwyneth Paltrow , has admitted that her struggle with depression in the past has made her feel grateful about things.
The Country Strong actress had at one time battled post-partum depression, just after the birth of he son Moses; she is claiming that this experience helped bring some insight to her life.
During an appearance on Out of Character, Paltrow explained:
”I didn’t know really what was wrong with me… It changed me. It was great because it also became so clear to me what was important to me.
”At that time I just had no interest in career whatsoever. My agents would be like, ‘This is getting weird. If you don’t [get] re-engaged, everyone’s gonna forget about you’. I was like, ‘I don’t care. I’m not leaving the babies’. It was so worth it.”
She has said that she is happiest being a stay-at-home mother and has a”fulfilling” home life with her children and husband Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay, she has one other child called Apple, and she is also the face of the Coach.
