‘Gentleman’s Agreement’ actress Celeste Holm has passed away at the age of ninety five, just days following a heart attack. She had been admitted to New York’s Roosevelt Hospital with dehydration earlier this month July 2012.
But then the film and television actress did take a turn for the worse when she went into cardiac arrest while under doctors’ care. Her niece Amy Phillips tells CNN,
“She passed peacefully in her home in her own bed with her husband and friends and family nearby.”
She is known for for her performance along side Gene Kelly in Oklahoma. She had also been seen in Come to the Stable and All About Eve. The star also was in the soap operas Falcon Crest, Loving and Promised Land.
Holm‘s retired from Hollywood in 2009, five years after she wed her fifth husband, opera singer Frank Basile, who was 46 years her junior.
