Now director Gary Ross has the intention of returning to make the ‘Hunger Games’ a sequel because has was asked to. He has revealed that he will make the next film in the three part series which is written by Suzanne Collins.
”I am attached to the next film and I’m intending to do it, I haven’t had a chance to think about it yet. So many people ask me adaptation questions or ‘Who’s gonna play so-and-so?’ I literally finished this movie Tuesday at midnight, I finished colour timing, and then I went into the junket a day later, so it’s not like I’ve had a chance to think about ‘Catching Fire’, but yeah it’s my intention to do the next one. They’ve asked me to do so.”
The actor Liam Hemsworth, who portrayed the role of Gale Hawthorne in the film, is now very much looking forward to working with Gary for the follow-up.
”He’s a great director to work with because he’s very open and very manic on set. He tries everything possible and makes sure he gets it from every different angle. He’s just a good, energetic guy who keeps everyone on their toes, and keeps the set alive. He’s just open to your ideas.”
Also the fifty five year old has mentioned that he will consider making some changes to the look of the next movie.
He told Collider.com:
”I think that there may be some anesthetic departures from what I did here, but I don’t wanna talk about them yet, not because I’m being evasive, but just because they’re so half-baked I wouldn’t be doing myself justice in the process if I talked about them prematurely, but I think there may be some differences, yeah.”
